Being a 20+ year banjo player, I knew the banjo reputation, but knew nothing about Ome mandolins. Rare original banjo, with the addition of Keith D tuners on second and third string.īlack walnut neck and resonator, birch block rim, flathead tone ring, one-piece flange, ebony fretboard, bound peghead, Kershner tailpiece, dual leg armrest (original according to Geoff), aluminum co-rods (also original), 5-Star tuners (1&4), 5th string capo spikes installed at 7 and 9. This was an Ome mandolin-the name means nothing to almost everyone.
